Using Your Past to Improve Your Future

Using Your Past to Improve Your Future

January 05, 2020 | Phil Rikard

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)

Paul refused to let his past define Him. Our past mistakes can control us. We can dwell on them and feel like there is no hope for the future. But the good news is that Jesus gives us a REDO; a clean slate, as we move into a New Year. As new creations we are fully forgiven; our past, our mistakes and our failures fully forgotten by God. We don’t have to be defined by past defeats any longer! Look to the past, learn from the past but know that in Christ you can begin again! This series launches us with hope into a New Year!
