“For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth….”
Genesis 7:17 (NIV)
Thus far 2020 seems like a throwback to the days of Noah. Wave after wave of record rainfall has gotten us off to a soggy start. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the sun to come out and stay out! Rain, rain go away! Thankfully, this weather pattern has in no way dampened what God is doing here at Tapestry. Instead of rising water, we’re seeing rising momentum in ministry. The investment made in our Next Generation Ministry is returning clear dividends of spiritual growth and excitement for our children, youth and young families. Our small groups are growing deeper, our worship is going higher, our reach getting further. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, now is the time! I believe Paul’s words to the Corinthians speak directly into where we currently are as a church.
“As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain…
I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.”
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NIV)
God’s goodness and grace keep coming wave after wave. Like the lakes and streams around us, the momentum of the Spirit is rising. Now is the time Tapestry, the time to fervently pray, intentionally invite, faithfully serve, generously give and expectantly look to what only God can do in and through His church.
The Son is coming!
