Thanksgiving leftovers are dwindling, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday are in the books. That can only mean one thing....Christmas is coming! With bubbles, masks, quarantines and vaccines, this Christmas will clearly be an uncommon one. But as we turn our attention to the birth of Jesus, I’m reminded of how very uncommon that first Christmas was: a virgin with child, angels speaking to shepherds, wise men following stars, God becoming one of us. Everything about Christmas is uncommon, it always has been. So, let me challenge you to embrace the “less than ideal” this year as you anticipate and celebrate the coming of our Savior.
